Passed away peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at the age of 79 with his loving wife Audrey, his son Brad and his beautiful niece Kathy by his side.

Son of the late Bruce and Helen Hotchkiss. Brother of Mary Houghton (late Ronald), the late Shirley Benard (Ron), late Paul and Barbara. Predeceased by his uncles John Zultek (late Alba) and Walter Zultek (late Doris). Grandson of the late Anna and Paul Zimroz. Son-in-law of the late William and Audrey Lambert. Brother-in-law of Richard Lambert (Marilyn), Jim Lambert, Bob Lambert (Wendy), Ken Lambert (Sandra), Fred Lambert and the late Carol Lambert. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Remembered by his dear friends Kathy and Darrell Diotte and family, Jennifer and Lawrence Misener, Lawrence and Deb Mageran, Judy and Brian Punch, Jean Gusman and Pat Hubbard. Father of Nancy.

For Fred, the Christmas tree farm owned by he and his wife Audrey, was an absolute "labour of love." He was the third generation to own the beautiful property in Prince Township which began with his grandfather Alonzo and then his father, Bruce Hotchkiss.

Fred was a hardworking, gentleman, with the kindest heart! These attributes kept loyal customers coming back, year after year. Thousands of families have made lasting memories, thanks to Fred's dream of literally shaping, Hotchkiss Christmas Tree Farm. Fred always valued and looked forward to greeting each visitor that made the trek to the farm.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Graveside service at Greenwood Cemetery on Monday, October 21, 2024 at 11 am. Please meet at the Cemetery Chapel (corner of Fourth Line and Peoples Road) to be directed to the grave. A celebration of life will follow at 130 Marshall Drive, Prince Township from 1 pm until 3 pm.
