With shattered hearts we announce the peaceful and unexpected passing of Levina Howard on Friday, December 28, 2018 in her 90th year.  Beloved wife of the late Robert James Howard and deeply cherished mother of Shelley Howard (Marty Cady).  Adored beyond words by her grandchildren Marley Willott (Chris) and Darion Howard Cady. Daughter of the late Viola and Arthur Davieaux. Beloved sister of Floyd Davieaux (Priscilla), Ca Sears (late Burt), Dee Dee Sears (late Ted), Ivy Johnson (late Bob), Donna LaForge (late Mel), Fay Szcyrek (Ed) and predeceased by Francis Davieaux, Lillian Davieaux, and Rose Howard (late Maurice).  Sister in law to Geraldine McKay (Don), Gerald Howard (late Joan) and predeceased by Millie McDonald (late Ed), Helen Savela (late George), Henry Howard (late Mary), Ruby Olar (late Alec), Addie Courdway (late Emmett), Maureen Dugan (late Ross), Margaret Towell (late Don), and Maurice Howard (late Rose).

Levina was a one of a kind soul who brightened any room she entered.  She will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews as well as all the children she ever met and told to call her Auntie Levina.  She was known to all and well-loved in the Searchmont community and enjoyed a special, lifelong friendship with Verley and the Randell family.

Few people you meet in life you can truly say ‘to know them is to love them’.  Yet this is true of Levina.  Whether life long friend or casual acquaintance, she made the world a better place.  And we are blessed to have had her in our lives.

Although we grieve here without her, our adorably perfect little gnome has gone on to be free of her pain and reunite with her loved ones beyond for card games, guitar playing, the singing of songs, and all the fish she can catch.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre on Friday, January 4, 2019 from 11:30 a.m. until time of service in the chapel at 1:30 p.m.  Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.  Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
