We are saddened to announce the passing of William “Bill” Huckson, surrounded by family at Extendicare Maple View on November 27, 2023, in his 96th year. We have lost the oldest tradesman and master plumber in the Sault, Bill Huckson, who was a plumber for 53 years.
Predeceased by his soulmate and loving wife, Thressa. Father of Carol Lacasse (late Paul), late Nancy Murphy, late Judy Lynn Crosby (late Kent), Jim Huckson (Ruth-Ann), and estranged son Daniel Huckson.
Grandfather of Bill (Shelly) and Tim (Stephanie) Pascall, Andrea (Gary), Chris (Annemarie), and David (Shelbea) Murphy, Andy (Amanda) and Terry (Pat) Crosby, Nick (Lisa), John (Autumn), Angelo (Hannah), and Jimmy Huckson. Great grandfather of 17 and great great grandfather of 1. Brother of the late Jim Huckson (Jackie).
Bill was a proud member of the Sault Ste. Marie Royal Canadian Legion Branch 25 for 44 years. He was also proud to have his pilot’s license and fly his plane, building and repairing 2 of them.
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place in June 2024 and will be announced at a later date.
