Suddenly at the Thessalon Hospital on Sunday, July 17, 2005. Dr. David Hughes of Bruce Mines in his 88th year, husband of the late Evelyn Beilhartz. Dear brother of the late Dr. Harold and Dr. Samuel Hughes. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Dr. Hughes was a Naval Medical Officer in the US Navy during the Second World War. He was a graduate of Bucknell University and Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia. He was Clinical Assistant Professor of Radiology at Hahnemann Medical College and also served as Director of Radiation Therapy at the American Oncologic Hospital in Philadelphia. Resting at the Beggs Funeral Home, Thessalon, where friends may call on Wednesday July 20, 2005 from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2 o'clock. Interment in Cloudslee Cemetery. Donations to the Cancer Society, Lighthaven Christian Home or the Salvation Army gratefully accepted. -
