It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Cathie at the age of 72.
Former wife of Bernard Socchia. Mother of Kathleen "Amber" Socchia and Christopher Socchia (Barbie). Mama Mea to Drake (Taylor). Grandmother of Brianna, Rylee, Charles, and Vivi. Dear sister to Bill (Dorthy), and the late Orville (late Suzanna) and his wife Donna. Friend, aunt and cousin to many.
A special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of 3C at the Sault Area Hospital. A special thank you to Destiny Christian Church: Pastor Rob and his wife Stacey. Thank you to her many friends and good friend, Steve.
As per Cathie's wishes, a visitation will take place at Arthur funeral Home - Barton and Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E., 705-759-2522) on Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm. A reception at Destiny Christian Centre (633 Wallace Terrace) will follow at 3:00pm, as well as a short memorial service led by Pastor Rob, also at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations (made payable by cheque or online) to a charity of choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
