Peacefully at the Finnish Resthome "MKK" on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at the age of 96. Beloved wife of the late Calvin. Loving mother of Carol Findlay (Jim), the late Lorna Guise (Dan), and Wesley Hurley. Cherished and proud grandma of the late Dean "James" Morrison and Kathy Politano (late Anthony) (Terry Maich). Great grandmother of Kasey Politano (Vicky), late Anthony Politano Jr. and Zackary Politano (Ella). Predeceased by her parents Lorne and Agnes Rathwell. Dear sister of the late Bill Rathwell (late Ethel), the late Ken Rathwell (late Bernice), Joyce Newman (late Roy) (late Garnet Paul) and the late Carl Rathwell. Daughter-in-law of the late Elmer and Hilda Hurley. Sister-in-law of the late Beulah Scott (late Wilson Scott) (late John McCarrel) and the late Graham Hurley (late Dorothy). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to the thank the Finnish Resthome staff for their compassion and care. They treated mom like family and always went above and beyond. A special thank you to Linda Frolich (Brian) who adopted our mom as her own mother. You were both a great help to our mother and mom loved you.
A graveside service will be held in the Spring at Maple Leaf Cemetery.
