Peacefully at home Tuesday, July 28, 2020 with family and friends by his side. We regretfully announce the passing of our dad, Opa, brother and uncle Peter Jancke at the spry age of 62. After a brief but very courageous battle with cancer he is now gone to have a good time with his sister Cathy, parents Ilse and Max Jancke. Along with many other aunts and uncles who were all waiting for him. He leaves behind his daughter Jessica Jancke and son Jacob Jancke and their mother Patti Atkinson. Opa to Joey Jancke and his fur grandson Charlie. Forever missed, a generous and caring brother of Nancy Jancke, Brenda Hilderley (Steve), Robert Jancke (Brenda), Paul Jancke and Glenn Jancke. Sadly missed by life long friend John Rawlings and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Peter was a heavy equipment operator for over 40 years, travelling all over Canada doing what he loved the most. We would like to thank all of the amazing doctors that were involved in his journey; Dr. Patricia Van Hoof, Dr. Bodnar, Dr. Reich, Dr. Booth, Dr. Beuhner and Dr. O'Brien. To his nurse's Rochelle Larocque and Alyssa Knox you are both amazing. Thank you to Laura Moss from NELHIN's. A special thank you to Dr. Bowen and Sheila Hamilton RN, you went over and above for us and for that we cannot thank you enough. We would also like to specially thank Dr. McLean, your patience and compassion is what made everything so peaceful. As Peter wished he was cremated with a private family ceremony.
