Peacefully at the Algoma Manor with her family by her
side on Friday, September 23, 2005. Beloved wife for over 68 years to Todd. Loving mother and best friend of Allan (Joan) and Patti Kapfer (late Ernie). Proud grandma of Stephen Johnston (Allyson McGuinty), Suzanne Johnston-Power (Michael), Michael Johnston (Pat Lafontaine) and Mark Kapfer (Diane McCooeye). Great grandmother of Michael Power. Dear sister of Viola Hall (late Geoff) and predeceased by John Maki (late Irene), Aileen Lintula (late Bill), Ina Curry (late Homer) and Elmer Maki. Irene will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews. Irene was the past treasurer of the Nokomis Chapter of the Eastern Star. Friends may call at the Barton & Kiteley Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Tuesday, September 27, 2005 from 11:30 a.m. until time of the funeral service in the chapel at 1 p.m. Reverend Phil Miller officiating.
