Loved daughter of Ken Jones and Patti (Matuszyk) Jones. Sister of Justin, Karrie McCormack (Andrew) and Kenny (Michelle). Melanie will be missed by an uncle and many aunts and cousins. Melanie’s story began on October 14, 1984 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. She was born at only one pound ten ounces and fought hard to survive. She was a tough, tiny, beautiful girl. As Melanie approached womanhood her talents shone. She had the voice of an angel, played guitar and wrote her own songs, was amazing on the drums and was a talented professional photographer. Melanie loved to travel, loved her friends fiercely, loved music, jamming, hiking, camping, bonfires, surfing and walking the beach. She especially loved her nephew, Michael and always kept in touch with her Aunt Kristin.
On February 22, 2022 in Vancouver, Melanie lost a battle she had fought with thyroid cancer and substance abuse disorder.
