It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Sid Jones at the age of 75.
Son of the late Joseph and Adeline Jones. Husband to the late Viola Eileen Jones Nee Barry. Proud father of Lisa, Rose, Janet , Sidney (Debra) and Caine Hussey-Derrer (Danielle). Much loved grandfather to Deanna, Jasmine, Lindsey, Amanda, Taylor, Kevin, Gracie and Julia McKay, Sophie McMillan, Sydney, Zakary , Alexandra , Wesley , Ava, Terry and Aaron Nolan. Great grandfather to 12 great-grandchildren. Sid was brother to the late Martina Buller (late Gordon), Noel Jones (Carol), Anna-Lise (Dennis Mount), late Steven Jones (Helena), Dennis Jones (late Evelyn), late Theresa (late Clarence Sweet), Joseph Jones, Caroline (Randy Barry), the late Brian Jones (late Dorothy Campbell), Verna (Doug Sewell). Much loved uncle to many nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nursing staff at the Sault Area Hospital 3B.
Friends and family are invited to visit Garden River Community Centre on Friday July 7, 2023 from 6:00PM until time of service on Sunday July 9 at 1:00 PM with Father Robert Mugisha Officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations (made payable by cheque or online) to the Alzheimer's Society or Sick Kids Hospital would be greatly appreciated by the family.
