In loving memory of Brigitte Keller (1942 - 2021); 79 years.
Brigitte Keller passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Mapleview Extendicare. She was born in Germany on May 26, 1942 and immigrated to Sault Ste Marie in her late teens and married Ernie Keller. For many years she owned and operated The Clay Hut ceramic shop, and later shared her love of gardening at Downing's Landscaping and Greenhouses.
Brigitte is survived by her daughter, Heidi (late Veijo) Tanninen, her grandchildren Aaron (Brandi Bell) Tanninen, Tamara (Robert) Wong, Stephanie (Rami) Bakir, her great grandchildren Miia, Kai, Lily, Ashton, and Aria. Her mother Erna Schmitt, sister Renate (late Harold) Wolf, sister Ilse (Richard) Korb, and nieces, nephews, and cousins in Canada and Germany. She is predeceased by her husband Ernst, her parents Willi and Lise Lotte Schmitt, her son Perry Keller, and her grandson Ryan Keller. Brigitte will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
There will be no service at the request of Brigitte. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions (payable by cheque or online) to the Sault Area Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
