With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Paul at the Sault Area Hospital with family and friends by his side on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at the age of 57. Cherished son of Eva and the late Gordon. Much loved brother of Morris (Anna), Ivan (Jodi) and Adam (Lisa). Proud uncle of DJ (Olivia), Mark (Lindy), Steven (Clovie), Max (Jenna), Maddy, and Nathan. Great Uncle of Lily and Oliver. He will be dearly missed by his many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He will forever be in the hearts of his dear friends who he considered family, Keith, Stacey, Bucci, Tammy, Steve, Jody, Trisha, Travis, Abbs and Colty, Fest, and Few. Uncle Paul will never be forgotten by Gracie Lee and Ella Bella.

Paul was known by most as “Dipper”. Throughout his life Dipper enjoyed many sports such as slo-pitch, hockey, football, and golf. He dedicated countless hours to both coaching and playing slo-pitch and his passion and knowledge for the game was admired by anyone who ever had the privilege of sharing the field with him. His interests went far beyond the field or rink. He also enjoyed spending time playing cards at the Elks, playing poker with his friends, and always looked forward to seeing his family and friends at the community weekend in Thessalon. He was never one to turn down a friendly bet, especially when it came to his Flyers or 49ers. Dipper treasured every friendship he ever made, was fiercely loyal to the people he loved and was never afraid to speak honestly. His humour and chirps will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Dipper was adored by his colleagues and friends at Birchland Plywood Mill in Thessalon. He treasured his friendship with his favourite office girls Kathy and Laura. Dipper dedicated 38 years of his life to his career at the mill. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Morgan family for the care and compassion that they showed Paul throughout his years with the company.

A private graveside service and celebration will be held at a later date. Memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758). www.northwoodfuneral.com
