At the age of 92 Loreen has peacefully gone to the heavenly band to play her keyboard. Daughter of the late Sarah Beaton (nee Bird). Caring mother of Lorne Singleton (Susan), Wayne Singleton (Michele) and Glenn Singleton (Darlene). Gramma of Robin (Jay), Matthew (Erica), Sara (Jason), Patricia (Emile), Cyndi (Anthony), Kelsey (Bill), Nicole, Kiley (Chris) and Katie-Anne (Neil) and great gramma of 10. Predeceased by her siblings Victor Beaton, Chester Beaton (June) and Floyd Beaton (Elaine). Fondly remembered by many nephews and a niece.
Loreen was a postmistress for 34 years starting out in Ophir and retiring from the Bruce Mines post office. She was very involved with her community spending a lot of her time volunteering for numerous committees and organizations. She enjoyed knitting.
Loreen was a lifetime pianist and organist who was self taught. She played at many of the local churches as well as numerous senior and retirement homes. A member of many local bands, Loreen was inducted into the Great Northern Country Music Hall of Fame.

A private burial at The Sands Cemetery will be held at a later date.
