It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved family matriarch, Peggy at the Algoma Manor surrounded by loved ones, age 87. Loving mother of Kathy, Edwin, Brenda, Glen (Sue), Robert (Melva), Lorraine (Darren), Kenny (Jenny), Betty Ann (Jim) and Michael (Lisa). Cherished Gramma of Lisa, Tanya, Jessica, Jacob, Amy, Amanda, Amber, Anthony, Robert, Dillan, Jayce, Amber, Brandon, Jada, Chelsea, Rebekah, Shane, Samantha, Jordan, Naomi, John, Margaret and Sean. Big (Great) Gramma of many. Peggy will be deeply missed by her sister Elva Morningstar and her niece Phyllis. Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is joyfully reunited with her parents Molly and Mike Chiblow as well as her siblings Richard, Camille, Leo, Adalard, Emmett, Helen, Martha, Lena and Rita.

Peggy was kind-hearted and willing to help those around her. She was very active in her community preparing food for various functions and planning and organizing events for the elders. She was an outstanding cook and won many awards for her tasty cabbage rolls, spareribs and baking. She loved to spoil her grandchildren. We will forever remember her infectious laugh and her laughter will live on through us all.

Let there be endless Scrabble games with her sister Rita, puzzles, enough KFC and Pepsi to share, and Bingo with never ending jackpots.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Algoma Manor for their compassion and kindness as well as her loved ones who surrounded her in her final moments.
Family and friends are invited to visit on August 14, 2024, at Mississauga First Nation Community Hall, 154 Village Road, MFN, from 8am until time of funeral service at 11am with Father Clarence officiating. Feast to follow.
