KRUPKA, Peter

Posted

Loving husband, dearest father, cherished didi, great didi and
special friend to many. With great sadness, we announce the passing of Peter Krupka
at the Sault Area Hospital on Monday, August 29, 2005. Born July 18, 1920 in
Ukraine. Peter met his beloved wife and best companion Anna Krupka (Pekelny) in
France. They shared a lifetime of memories during their 60 years as husband and
wife. They had a daughter in France, Mary Borowicz (Walter) and then immigrated to
Canada in 1949. He was a wonderful didi to Melanie Sibenik (Derek) and Christine
Perlini (Marty) and very dear great didi to Meagan and Hannah Perlini. He was a
special uncle to Emil Krupka (Gloria) and family and Ed Krupka (June) and family.
Peter was a dedicated and hardworker as a craneman at Algoma Steel. When he
'retired', Peter invented and patented an arthritic linament. Peter also published
a book of his experiences in WWII. He is predeceased by his mother Eva, his father
Michael, his brothers George (Bernadette) and Ivan (Stephania) and his sister Maria.
He is survived by his sister Anna (late George) and many nieces and nephews in the
Ukraine. He was an inspiration to us all and taught us the true meaning of life,
love and faith. Friends may call at St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church (293 St.
Georges Avenue East) on Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. Panachyda at 8 p.m.
