It is with heartbreaking sadness that we announce the passing of Normand Joseph Labbée, at the Hamilton General Hospital, on Saturday, December 24th, 2022. He was in his 82nd year.
Dearly loved husband and best friend of Yvette Labbée (née Moïse) for 58 years. Loving father of Frank (Rita), Fern (Lee), Luc and Joanne (Andy). Proud pépère of 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Huguette (Harry), Lilianne, Daniel (Aline), Rachelle (Nelson), Louise (Luc), Claude (Rolande) and Diane. Fondly missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Fernando and Juliette, brother Gilles (Marie-Berthe), sister Pauline (Laurier). Normand was a devoted father and pépère he loved attending his family’s sporting events and was their number one fan.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to all the caring staff of Niagara Health, St. Catharines General Hospital and the Hamilton General Hospital for the compassionate care he received. A celebration of life for Normand will be held at the Blind River Legion, 27 Hawkins St. Blind River, Ontario on Saturday, May 20th, 2023 from 1-3 pm and 6-8 pm. A celebration of life will be held in Owen Sound at a later date. In lieu of flowers a memorial donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
