LACASSE, Alaina Patricia

LacasseAlaina

On this day, our family lost a Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt and Friend. This unexpected and sudden death leaves her husband, soulmate and best friend, Dave Comfort with a shattered heart. She was a very caring and devoted wife and took such good care of Dave throughout his health issues. Dave will forever love and miss his 'Lay-Lay'.

Alaina was a mother to three amazing children. Her fierce 'love you as big as the world' whole-hearted love for her daughters Alisha and Ashley Lacasse and son, Alan Comfort will never be forgotten. Her children were her world, and they lost an amazing mother.

Alaina's two step-children, Teniqua and Cassandra will miss her love and guidance.

Alaina was a grandmother to three. Scarlet, Sophia, and Ayva. She was their doting Nana Lay Lay.

Her four brothers, Daniel (Gail), Garry (Ginny), John (Laura) and Arthur (Sheri) and two sisters, Laurie, Cindy (Mark) are heart broken and at a loss over her passing. Her nieces and nephews, Justine, Jordan, Darren (Alayna), Robbie, (Deia), Jini, Seth, William, Derek, Grace, Garner and Gage, Jessica and Kyle have lost their fun-joking-cool Aunt.

Alaina was a simple soul. She treated everyone she met with kindness. She had only one look- comfortable clothes and her hair up in a ponytail. Her idea of peace was sitting in her back screened in porch on her blue chair, listening to the birds sing and feeling the sun on her face. During thunderstorms and hot nights, she enjoyed her nights sleeping in that porch.

She loved camping and being at camp with friends and family. When a BBQ took place, her signature dish was her famous deviled eggs. You had to rush to grab some, because if not, they were gone within seconds. She was one hell of a horseshoe and washer toss player. Alaina loved a good whitefish dinner and deep-fried smelts. She looked forward to them every year.

Alaina was the girl to have at a party. She was the last to go to bed and we had so much fun all the time. There are so many memorable moments with her. She will be deeply missed every single day. As we are all mourning the loss of Alaina, she is now reunited with her mom and dad, old friends and family.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. We would like to thank the paramedics and hospital staff for doing everything they could. We thank O'Sullivan Funeral Home for their kindness and support. A special thank you to everyone who supported us during this time.

Should you choose to make a memorial donation in lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation towards Alan's college fund. Donations can be sent to dgcomfort@hotmail.com.

Rest in peace, our lovely Alaina
