It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Vida Lang, sleeping peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at the age of 87. She will be rejoicing with her late husband Mike. Loving mother to Candy Burns (Pat), Chuck, The late Brian (Sherry), Glenn (Mary), Jim (Roxy), Heather (Angelo) and Darren (Kathy). Proud grandma to Nathan, Joey, Katie, Jade, Troy, Brian, Jenny, T.J., Tara, Samantha, Kayla, Kristina, Kelley, Laura and the late Peter Ma. Great grandma to 13. Vida will be joining her late parents Cecil and Annie Barnett. Dear sister of Shirley (late Brian), Art (Connie) and the late Leona (late Russell) , late Anne (Bill) and the late Ken. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Vida will be missed by her many friends and fellow campers at Rock Lake. Vida grew up in Harrow, Ontario and moved to Goulais River in the mid 70's and in recent years resided with her son in Sault Ste. Marie. A private family service will be held at Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E. 705-759-2522). A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions (payable by cheque) to the Goulais River Recreation Fund would be appreciated.
