Unexpectedly passed away at his home on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at the age of 72. Beloved husband of Candice Laplante (Seguin). Cherished by his children Carl Laplante (Suzanne), Jason Laplante (Tricia), Cindy Laplante (Sean) and Peter Laplante (Ella). Son of the late Archie and Stella Laplante (Folz). Brother of late John Laplante (late Rita), James Laplante (Florence), late Roy Laplante (Molly), late Gaston Piche (Marilyn), Anthony Beauchamp (Corrine) and Sharon Bolen (Dale). Grandfather of Maegan Neuman, Ava Laplante, Brianna Laplante, Andrew Laforge, Karli Laforge, Jacob Diamond and Emma Diamond. Great Grandfather of Kane Diamond. Steve will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Steve was a well-respected, self-employed entrepreneur who specialized in carpentry and home renovations. He was well known for his beautiful guitar playing and melodic voice, his music touched the hearts of many. Steve will be remembered for the loving, kind, generous and accepting soul that he was each day of his life. He lit up every room he entered with a big smile and laughing eyes. His jokes are unforgettable and his wisdom everlasting. To honor Steve’s wishes there will not be a traditional service but instead a Celebration of Life will be held in early summer with details to follow.
