Vernon Arthur Lediett passed away peacefully at the Plummer Memorial Hospital on Friday, April 12, 2002 in his 86th year. Dear husband of the late Helen McCormack. Much loved father of Jennifer Houle (Joe). Respected and loved grandpa of Heather Ann McCulligh (Murray). Brother of Norman K. Lediett (Andrena) of Blind River. Predeceased by his sister Marion Gough (late Ron) of Stratford. Big brother of Eleanor Keith (late Dr. W. Elliot Keith) of Windsor. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at St. Andrew's United Church, Blind River on Tuesday, April 16 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Heather Davies officiating. If desired, memorial donations may be made to St. Andrew's United Church in Blind River or Willowgrove United Church in Sault Ste. Marie. Vernon served in the Royal Canadian Army, Grey and Simcoe Foresters Armoured Corps from 1940 - 1945, retiring with the rank of Lieutenant.
