It is with a heavy heart that Lucrezia (Ezia) Pucci announces the peaceful passing of her youngest sister Margarita Leoci at the age of 64 in Monopoli, Bari, Italy on Monday April 19, 2021. Margarita joins her beloved parents Lucia and Francesco Leoci and her brothers Franco, Donato and Michele.
Loving Zia to Maria (Marvin) Lenstra, Lucy (Frank) Zimbaro, Angelo (Lori) Pucci and Franca (John) Iachetta. Great Zia to Sabrina (Brian) Sweeney, Michael Zimbaro, Robert Lenstra, Loran and Erin Pucci and Mia and Thea Iachetta. She had a special place in Fiore’s heart, Ezia’s husband where we knew she loved him a little more than her sister.
Margarita was a miracle, having been born with Downs Syndrome. She was cherished and cared for diligently by her sister Anna Maria her entire life. Margarita was the light and love of Anna Maria’s life. They travelled the world together with many trips to Canada to see Ezia, across Italy, skiing in the Italian Alps, to the sacred Lourdes in France and Paris, France.
She will be laid to rest on April 20, 2021 at the Cattedrale Maria Santissima della Madia, in Monopoli. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
