Passed away peacefully at the Plummer Memorial Hospital (Palliative Care) on Tuesday, January 29, 2002 at the age of 90 years. Wife of the late Martti. Loving mother of Paul, Pirkko-Liisa Valitalo (Antti)and the late Pentti. Caring grandmother of Richard, Danny, Tammy (Mark) and Eddy. Cherished Mummu of Rebecca and Rhonda. Lilja is predeceased by two sisters and four brothers in Finland. Aunt of Lasse Kakela (Lea). Survived by many nieces and nephews in Sweden and Finland. A private funeral service will take place at the Arthur Funeral Home. Rev. Erkki Taivainen officiating, interment Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions in her memory to St. Mary's Lutheran Church or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
