Dad passed away on December 29, 2021, with his family by his side at Maple View Extendicare.
Beloved husband of the late Sally. Loving father of Jody Jones (late Ken), Jill Bell (Kevin), Todd MacDonald (Cindy), Ross MacDonald (Jill) and the late Tim MacDonald.
Special Papa to Brandi (Aaron), Scott (Norma), Courtney (Trevor), Danielle (Zack), Cody (Patricia), James, Jack and Joshua. Great grandfather and special Papa Billy to Miia, Kai, Aria, Penelope, Emmie, Madeleine, Chase, Piper, Dominik, Parker, Paige and Brody. He loved every one of you with his whole heart.
Son of the late Jack and Cass MacDonald. Brother of Jacqueline (Toots) Ralph (late Dale), late Jim MacDonald (late Florida), late Neil MacDonald (late Arleen), late Dick MacDonald, and the late Janet Poisson (Jean-Paul). Son-in -law to the late Charles and Lucy Ferry.
Brother-in-law of the late Sandra Ethier (late Lionel). Special uncle to many. Casey, you and your children had a special place in his heart.
Our dad was one of the sweetest, kindest, loving men around. Even in his 80's, he would snow blow his neighbour's driveway, just in case they needed to get out. Always so thoughtful and caring, he always had a smile on his face or a prank he would like to play on the kids. He was a family man who always put his family first. Dad was a Maple Leaf fan all of his life and defended them fiercely.
We would like to thank the 3rd floor staff at Maple View. Stacey, thank you isn't enough to express how much my dad appreciated you. You always put a smile on his face and treated him with respect. Ashley, thank you for being kind and having so much compassion for our family. Stacey and Ashley, you both went above and beyond. Jamie, Bincy, Crissy, Audra, Gail, and many others, thank you all for being so kind.
At dad's request, there will be no service. Should you wish to make a memorial donation to either Parkinson Canada, or the Dementia Society of Canada, it would be appreciated.
