(March 16, 1930 - March 8, 2019) - It is with great sadness that we mark the death of Fred Marshall at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice on Friday, March 8, 2019 after a brief illness.
Beloved husband and friend of Joan for over 65 years. Loving father of Cleve (Sara McCulloch), Ellwood (Louise), Kim (Anne), Darryl (Pam) and Emmalee (Jim Allen). Son of the late Gordon and Violet Marshall. Brother of Elva Avery (late Howard), Bob Marshall (late Mavis) and predeceased by Rita Lemcke (late Lloyd), Lloyd Marshall (Lil), Calvin Marshall (Alice) and Luella McCargar. Proud grandfather of 7, great grandfather of 12 and great great grandfather of 1. Fred was a longtime employee of the City of Sault Ste. Marie Community Services Board. He was a third generation farmer on the family farm established in 1885.
Friends may visit the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E, 705-759-2522) on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 from 6 - 9 pm. Memorial service in the chapel on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 11 am. Rev John Wilson officiating. Spring interment at Hillside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions (payable by cheque) made to ARCH, Sault Area Hospital Foundation or to Victoria Presbyterian Church would be appreciated.
