It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maria Angelina Martone peacefully, on Saturday December 9, 2023 with her son by her side at the Sault Area Hospital. 

Beloved wife of the late Nunzio Martone for 70 years. Much loved mother of the late Joseph and Rocky (Sharon). Grandmother of Angelina Martone and Joseph Martone (Lacey). Great grandmother of Debra and Rylee. Maria was born in Frigento, Avellino, Italia on September 29, 1927 to the late Antonietta and late Rocco Davino. Much loved by her brothers and sisters, late Raffaele Davino, late Vincenzo (late Giuseppina) Davino, late Giuseppe (Rosinna) Davino, late Celesta (late Angelo) Desavino, late Teresa (late Gaetano) DiMarino, late Rosinna and Maria Carmella (late Emillio) Grella. Cherished sister-in-law of late Maria Carmela (late Carmine) (late Maria Grazia) Martone, late Vittorio (late Angelina) Martone, late Maria Stella (late Michele) Savino, late Ermelinda (late Carmine) Melchionna, late Maria Consiglia (late Antonio Genua, and late Mario (Virma) Martone. 

Maria will be missed by many nieces and nephews. 

Friends and family are invited to visit Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E., 705-759-2522) on Sunday, December 17, 2023 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. A funeral Mass will be held the following day at St. Gregory's Church on Monday, December 18, 2023 at 11:00 am with Rev. Trevor Scarfone officiating. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Mausoleum. Memorial contributions (made payable by cheque or online) to the Sault Area Hospital Foundation, Heart & Stroke Foundation, or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
