McCAIG, Edward “Ted”

Surrounded by family at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice on Thursday, August 31, 2017 in his 83rd year.  Loving father of Sherry Beaton (Andy), Rhonda McCaig and Patty McCaig Belsito. Much loved Grandpa “Grump” of Denver Beaton (Christine), Jennifer Pister (David), Victor Beaton, Thomas Beaton (Nicole Robinson), Alyssa Belsito and Isaac Belsito. Proud great grandpa of Mason and William Pister. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Nellie McCaig, and by his siblings Eva Pateman (late Lawrence), Mae Haight (late Carl), Thelma Haight (late Randal), Jack McCaig (Ruth), Rhoda MacMillan, Margaret Noble, Ivan McCaig (late Phyllis), Fred McCaig (Gail Gardiner) and Bernie McCaig (Gale). Also survived and specially remembered by numerous nieces, nephews and special friends. A private family service will be held at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, Mrs. Helen Smith officiating. Interment Maple Ridge Cemetery in Thessalon. Memorial donations to ARCH or to the Cockburn Island Heritage Fund would be appreciated.
