November 25th, 1931 to July 8th, 2023.

For ten years I lost you to dementia, we talked about happy times or sad, holding your hand, kissing you and telling you how much I loved you. We stopped hearing that voice we all loved for four years, but the memories will be with us forever. Then on June 8th you lost your son to cancer. I never told you, but I know you knew, not seeing that smile, laugh and the love he gave. Now, July 8th, heaven's gate opened and waiting to greet you was Brent, Barry and Dad. I know the smiles, hugs and love would have been amazing. Haviland Bay will always be special to us all. It is where we grew up and you and dad worked so hard at building McCauley's Motel, then adding the restaurant. So many happy times, fun times with family and friends who loved you. Miss you forever.

We regret to announce the passing of Jean McCauley in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Bob. Mother of Judy Mitchell (Roger), Rob McCauley (Stephanie), the late Brent McCauley (Carole), the late Barry McCauley, Larry Trumble (Gail) and the late Brenda Johansen (late John). Grandmother to Roger Mitchell Jr, Tanya Greco (Vito), Chad McCauley and Shelbi McCauley. Great grandmother to Josh and Jordan Mitchell and Vittoria, Ella, Ava and Elysa Greco. Daughter of the late Paul and Etha Bourdage. Sister of the late Martha Jackson (late John) and the late Jerry Bourdage (Barb). Daughter-in-law to the late Howard and late Mary McCauley. Sister-in-law to the late Herman McCauley (late Florence), Gene McCauley (Joan), John McCauley (Maxine), Jody Sarff (late Harold), the late Marilyn Jones (late Sam) and Carol Cartier. She will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews.

Jean's family would like to thank the F. J. Davey Home nurses and PSW staff on Birch Lane 3 for the love and kindness they always showed our mom. We have met some amazing people in all departments. We are and always will be truly grateful for the last nine years she lived there and for always being a friend when I needed one. A special thank you to River's Edge Cremation Centre.

At Jeans request, there will be no services and cremation has taken place. A burial will take place at the Goulais River Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her husband, at a later date.

Arrangements entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street East 705-759-2522). Memorial contributions made payable online or by cheque may be made to ARCH, the ALS Society of Canada or the F. J. Davey Home Activities Fund would be greatly appreciated. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the McCauley family.
