Passed away peacefully, with his family by his side at the Sault Area Hospital on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at the age of 91. 

Beloved husband of the late Joyce McClelland. Dear loving father to Linda Sue McClelland-Macphail (Paul), late Randy McClelland, Debbie Burmaster (Bob), Terry McClelland (Susan) and Stephen McClelland (Jackie Spadafore). Much loved grandfather of Greg (Lauren), Cameron (Ashley), Clinton (Andrea), Courtney (Patrick), Suzanne (Hank), Jason (Lori), Melissa (Mike), Jasmine, Jake (Stephanie), Jeffery and Jasmine. Great grandfather of 21 and great-great grandfather of 5. Predeceased by his parents Roy and Mayme McClelland. Brother of the late Ted McClelland (late Betty). Brother-in-law of the late Joe Johnston, late Jim Johnston and the late Ken Johnston (Cheryl). 

In Norm's early years he resided at the old Post Office which is now known as the Sault Ste. Marie Museum with his father. Norm often spoke of climbing the stairs to the clock tower to wind the clock. He worked as a maintenance foreman at Algoma Steel for 32 years. Dad was an incredible craftsman who created many works of Intarsia. McClelland Island at Trout Lake was where he was most at home.

Friends may visit the Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street E. 705-759-2522) on Monday, June 5, 2023 from 11 am until 1 pm. Interment Greenwood Cemetery.  Memorial contributions (payable online or by cheque) to the charity of your choice.
