August 25, 1951 – August 3, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wesley John McCulloch, who slipped away in his sleep on August 3, 2024 after a short hospital stay near his home in Shuswap, British Columbia.

He will forever be loved and missed by his devoted partner Dianne Francois and her family; his adored children Billy, Luke, Mitchell (Karen Swain), and Nichole McCulloch (Cuglietta); his beloved siblings Nancy McGregor (Ken) and Brian Avery (Cindy); his dear uncle Larry Vincent; Jo-Ann McCulloch, mother of Luke, Mitchell, and Nichole; his precious grandchildren; and many other cherished relatives and friends.

Wesley was a talented carpenter by trade, respected for his work ethic and ingenuity. He loved to work with his hands and built beautiful homes, log cabins and resorts across Ontario and Western Canada. He was generous with his time and advice, and had many apprentices including his late brother, Robert McCulloch, along with his sons, who proudly followed in his professional footsteps.

He loved to travel and preferred to take the long route to enjoy the scenery while listening to old country music. An avid hunter, he enjoyed spending time in the bush and in the mountains. He had a passion for fixing old trucks and was always surprising his family with an unexpected new project in the driveway.

Wesley was known and loved for his irresistible charm, wit, strength and tenacity. He enjoyed life to the fullest and lived by his own terms. He will always remain in the hearts and minds of his loved ones.

Be at peace and go run like the wind. Wherever it blows, we know you will be happy there.

Friends and family will gather to honour the life of Wesley McCulloch on Saturday, August 24, 2024, 1:00-4:00 p.m., at Thomson Farms Cider & Winery, 4057 Third Line West, Sault Ste. Marie, ON P6A 6K4.
