Donald Alvin (“Wendall”) McKay (August 31, 1972 – June 4, 2023) -
It is with sad hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Wendall McKay on June 4, 2023. Beloved son of Margaret Ann Pettalia (Tom) and the late Clifford McKay. Loving and proud father of Colin Wallace, Gracie and Julia McKay. Special friend of Janet Jones and her daughter Sophie. Dear brother of Katie Nantais (late Ron) and Danny McKay. Treasured uncle of Sydney Nantais and Mikayla McKay. Wendall will also be missed by family and many friends in Sault Ste Marie and Manitoulin Island. To those that knew him, he was a truly adventurous, humorous, kind-hearted, and loving person. At the family’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. A celebration of Wendall’s life will take place Thursday, June 15th, 2023 at the Moose Lodge beginning at 6pm (543 Trunk Road Sault Ste Marie, ON). Memorial contributions can be made to the Sault Ste Marie Down Syndrome Society.
