It is with heavy hearts that the family of Marisa announce her passing on Friday, February 28, 2020, at the age of 77. Beloved wife of Carmen for 62 years. Loving mother of Joanne Horne(Steve), the late Rose Marie Mellea and the late Susan Fleming. Proud Grandma of Nicole, Jessica, Diane, Marriah and the late Gregory. Great Grandmother of 2. Born on October 20, 1942 in Catanzaro Lido, Italy to the late Rosario and late Rosa Pizzari. Sister of the late Adrianna Fragomeni (Joe), and the late Frank Pizzari (Linda). Daughter-in-law of the late Gino and late Rosa Mellea. Sister-in-law of Maria Brunetta (Gino), Anna Cavaliere (Matthew) and Gina Mellea. She will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. At Marisa's request there will be a private family service. Memorial donations payable by cheque can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or ALS Foundation. A special thank you from our family to Dr. Ghosh and Dr. Landry and all of the many special nurses who cared for Marisa during her stay in the Intensive Care Unit.
