Lynn V. Mergaert passed away peacefully at home on Friday, February 28, 2003 at the age of 55. Loving wife of 38 years to Donald. Cherished mother of Robert (Laura), Arthur (Michelle), Chad (Christina). Stepmother of Charles (Karen) and Donald (Stephanie). Self-adopted mother of John Hamilton and special friend to Wendy Hamilton. Beloved grandmother and nanny of Joshua, James, Donald and Jenny-Lynn. Step grandmother of Melissa, Jennifer, Ryan and Alicia. Sister of Wilton (Fran). Sister-in-law of Pauline Charlebois. Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Her parents Charles and Flossie Hawdon and her sister Donna predeceased Lynn. Special friend of Donna, Bev, Cheryl, Belle, Doris and Jean. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home and Cremation Centre on Tuesday, March 4, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral; service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, March 5, at 1 pm. with Reverend Phil Miller officiating. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers Lynn, requested Teddy Bears for donation to the Sault Ste. Marie Fire Department and Mutual Aid Association. Memorial contributions in Lynn's memory can be made to the Hearth and Stroke Foundation.
