Peacefully at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at the age of 92.  Beloved father of Hugh Merz, Mason Merz and Laura Merz.  Proud grandpa of Sean and Emma.  Dear brother of Ludwig Merz (Helen), Joachim Merz and the late Heinz Merz. Arnold will be remembered by his nieces and nephews.  A Memorial Service will be held at the Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E. 705-759-2522) on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 11 am.  Mrs. Helen Smith officiating.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to ARCH would be appreciated.
