It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Walter Micak after a lengthy illness at the age of 83 years at the Plummer Memorial Hospital on Friday March 26, 2004. Beloved husband and best friend of Larissa. Dear father of; Lia Tesolin (Frank) and Vicky Makila (David). Grandfather to; Veronica, Christopher and Jennifer. Brother-in-law of Walter and Doris Marland and Uncle of Karin, Liz and Ramona all of Ottawa. Walter was one of the co-founders of Mutual Electric Company Limited and Algo Electric. He had been an active member of The Lion’s Club, Community Concert Association, the Ontario Film Federation and the German-Austrian Association. Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Sunday March 28, 2004 from 6:30 p.m. until time of funeral service in the Chapel at 7:30 p.m. Memorial donations made to the Sault Area Hospitals or to the Group Health Centre would be appreciated by the family.
