passed away after a valiant fight with cancer, at the Plummer Hospital on Saturday, July 19, 2003. Fern Montpetit of Sault Ste. Marie (formerly of Wharncliffe for 40 years) in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of the late Yvette Montpetit. Loving father of Joanne (Bruce) Hermiston of Lakefield, Pierrette (Hank) Chaput of Mission, B.C., Hugh (Mary Lou) Montpetit of Wharncliffe and Lucy (Raymond) Ansley of Thessalon. Survived by 14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Dear brother of Therese Schatz (late Gustav) of Ottawa and the late George (late Irene), Leonard (late Helen), Fleurette (late Joseph) and Betty. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Resting at the Beggs Funeral Home, Thessalon where friends may call on Tuesday evening, July 22 from 7:00 pm until time of service in the chapel at 8:00 o’clock. Cremation. Donations to the Cancer Society gratefully accepted.
