William Moor

October 6, 1953 – August 28, 2022

Kim Moor, guitar enthusiast and lover of nature, died suddenly in Barrie on Sunday August 28th with his family surrounding him.

Kim was born Oct. 6, 1953, in Sault Ste. Marie Ontario to his father William Charles Moor and mother Margaret June Moor. Kim is predeceased by his parents and brothers Steve and Mike.

Kim is survived by his wife and loving partner Vonnie Eveleigh, brother John and his children Sean Lannigan, Dayna Brooks (Tristan) and Maggie Moor (Gord Hill) and 9 grandchildren.

Kim was a talented car guy for his whole life. It all began at Travelaide Motors, which his father owned, and whose goal was to integrate his sons into the business. Kim and his brothers were all a part of this venture. The family grew up just around the corner from that dealership, on Oxford Street. Later his family embarked on starting Golden Miles Motors as well, along with his Uncle Roly and Aunt Joan, to further the family’s future success. Upon his fathers’ passing the dealership was sold and Kim moved forward to utilize his experience through other opportunities, eventually opening his own used car franchise K.W. Moor Car Sales.

Kim loved to play the guitar and wrote his own songs highlighting those experiences that were so dear to him in his life…or just for fun!! He loved to laugh. Some of his songs are purely for and reflect his spirit. He was never wanting for a joke to tell. ( Dad jokes mostly) Kim loved nature and had many little animal friends coming to his porch for their daily treats. (Although he also enjoyed hunting)

Christmas was a production for Kim. He loved to decorate and often had to be told “It’s February. Time to take those down,eh?”

A celebration of life has been scheduled for Sunday Sept. 4 in Angus Ontario where Kim lived with his loving partner Vonnie.

At his request his remains will join his parents and brother for interment in Sault Ste. Marie.
