We regret to announce the peaceful passing of John Morton - stubborn to the end.
John is survived by his wife of 72 years, Noreen (nee Wesala) and his five children - late Rhonda (Michael), Dave, Penny, Jeff (Carol) and Ken (Lori). Son of the late William Morton and the late Evelyn Morton. Grandfather to Mark (Amanda), Dan (Melody) and Erin Buckley, Clint Morton (Amanda), Alex, Cody and Katie Morton and Alicia and Mikayla Morton. Great grandfather of Cooper and Hunter Buckley, Hillary and Langdon Buckley, and Talia Morton.
Family and friends are invited to Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (942 Wellington St. East 705-759-2522) on Friday, July 7, 2023 from 9 am to 10:45 am. Memorial service to follow at 11 am. Mrs. Helen Smith officiating. Memorial donation (payable by cheque or online) to Sault Area Hospital Cancer Clinic would be appreciated. Special thanks to the staff of Ranger Lake at Extendicare Maple View. They were fantastic with our father, and he in turn kept them both amused and busy. They also took excellent care of Noreen, Penny and Dave as they sat beside John's bedside, keeping us well fed.
