NACCARATO, Salvatore Mario

Passed away peacefully with his two nieces by his side at the F. J. Davey Home on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at the age of 88.  Born in Paterno Colabro Cosenza, Italy on February 16, 1934 to the late Carmen and  Michelina Naccarato.   Predeceased by his siblings Domenic (late Emma), Francesco (Fiorina), Giuseppe, Maria and Quinto.  Close uncle to Micheline Naccarato (Joanne), Ritchard Naccarato, Mary Ann Suraci (Mike), Lydia Foster (Ron), Palma Gervasi (Bruno) and special uncle to many nieces and nephews in Italy.  Dear great uncle to many nieces and nephews.  

Mario worked at Algoma Steel. Mario had a passion for rebuilding cars and spending countless hours in his garage. He also enjoyed gardening and making homemade wine.  

A private visitation and service was held at Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E 705-759-2522) on Tuesday, October 25, 2022. Rev. Paul Conway officiated.  Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial donations payable by cheque or online  to the F. J. Davey Home Foundation would be appreciated. 

Mario always lent a helping hand to his friends and the family would like to thank his special friends George, Barry, Rob and Michelle Iannelli and the Iannelli family for their friendship throughout the years. The family would also like to thank his neighbours for helping him and watching over him over the years. Special thank you to Sandra Mossa, Dr. Hirvi, Drift One and Birch One nursing staff for all the compassion and wonderful care especially during the last days of his life.
