It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bernie at NSHN-Blind River. Dearly beloved husband of the late Ruth, “Ruthie” (nee Malcomnson). Father of Paul and Rene and grandfather to their children. Cherished brother of Marie-Claire Neveu of Ottawa and the late Denis Neveu (late Cecile). Treasured brother-in-law of Gerald and Karen Malcomnson. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and the business community of Elliot Lake. Predeceased by his parents Rene and Julliette Neveu.
Bernie was an accomplished individual and a man of many talents, too many to mention. He and Ruth owned and operated numerous businesses throughout their lives. Together they had many adventures which always produced a story….and those stories have become a chapter in our hearts for the rest of our lives.
The family wishes to thank the staff at NSHN-Blind River, Acute Care Unit and Claude Fortin for their compassion and care.
A private graveside service and interment will be held at a later date at his final resting spot in Smith Falls, beside his “Baby Ruthie”.
