Passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at the age of 76.
Beloved wife of 55 years to Paul Niemi. Loving mother of Lori-Ann West (David), Anna-Liisa Erkkila (Doug) and Philip Niemi (Kristel). Proud grandmother of Meghan West, Gavin West (Kiersten Monroe), Ethan West, Andrew Erkkila (Carlee Spry), Nathan Erkkila, Eden Erkkila, Ben Niemi and Jonathan Niemi; Great-grandmother to Kai-Veijo and Arie. Dear sister of Lincoln Heintzman, late Fred Heintzman (Barbara), late David Heintzman (Sonja), Bernard Heintzman (Eleanor) and Darlene Heintzman; sister-in-law of late Veijo (Lois and Jerry Elliott) and Lena Parniak (Harvey). Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Special thanks to all our friends at the Free Methodist church for the care and compassion they have shown. Friends from the Salvation Army, Galilean Bible Camp and the St. Joseph Island cottage community have been so thoughtful.
Friends are invited to visit at the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street East 705-759-2522) on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 6 to 9 pm. Memorial service in the chapel Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 11 am. Pastor Christopher Walls and Rev. Philip Niemi officiating. (40 people maximum in the funeral home at one time, masks and social distancing required). Inurnment Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial donations payable by cheque or online to Gideon's Share Word
