NIGANABE, Michael James “Mike”
April 7, 1945 - December 17, 2021
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Mike Niganabe, in Sault Ste. Marie at the age of 76. Son of the late John and the late Agatha (nee Recollet) Niganabe. Father of Charlene Sterling-Owl and Cheryl Sterling. Grandfather of Blaire, Tyler, Clarissa, the late Charisse, Bryce and Ryan. Great grandfather of 9. Brother of Patrick, late Lena, Mary Jane, late Jim, Alphonse and Margaret. Loving uncle to Aldrick and Patrick Jr. Fondly remembered by his family and his many friends.
Mike enjoyed thrifting and watching hockey.
Family and friends are invited to visit at Mississauga First Nation Cultural Centre, Park Road beginning at 3pm on Monday, December 27th until 3pm on Tuesday, December 28th.
Interment at St. Edwards Cemetery, Mississauga First Nation to be held in the spring of 2022.
