Passed away peacefully at ARCH on August 15, 2024, at the age of 82.
Survived by his loving wife Betty (nee Schouten). Father to Anja Noorland (Netherlands), Rob Noorland (Netherlands), Tim Noorland (Langdon, AB) and Debbie Noorland (Sault Ste. Marie, ON).
Grandfather of Nick, Mike & Amber (Netherlands), Caya & Lobke (Netherlands), Cassidy (Alberta) and Isabel, Parry & Talia (Ontario).
Son of the late Kornelis Noorland and late Maaike Aaltje Van Wijngaarden (Netherlands). Brother to the late Piet Noorland (Netherlands) and Jan Versteeg (Netherlands). Uncle to several children in the Noorland and Schouten families.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Celebration of Life gatherings to be conducted in Guelph and Ottawa at later dates yet to be determined.
The family would like to thank the Sault Area Hospital – Third Floor (3C) doctors, nurses and staff as well as ARCH – Doctors, nurses and staff.
