Jean E. Nystrom passed away after a long and courageous battle with Arthritis, at the General Hospital on Sunday, December 8, 2002 at the age of 90. Loving wife of the late Walter Nystrom. Cherished mother of Carl (Kathryn). Beloved grandmother of Mikaela and Alexie. Jean is predeceased by brothers Alvin Fisher (late Ethel), Morris Fisher (late Beryl), Stanley Fisher (late Bernice) and sisters Helen Spiedel (late Roy) and Lucille Fletcher (late Joe). Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Wednesday, December 11 from 10 a.m. until time of the service in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Bob Elkin officiating. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Arthritis Society or to the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society would be appreciated by the family. Special thanks to Dr. Fraser and the nurses and staff at 100Y and to the workers of the home care services that allowed Jean the independence that she cherished.
