It is with heavy hearts that we share the sudden passing of James “Terry” Osborne, peacefully at home, on Thursday, June 30, 2022.
Loving husband of Rebecca for 44 years, he was the true definition of ‘family man’. He leaves behind his daughters Amanda (Sam) and Sara (Mike), 7 grandchildren (Stella, Sebastien, Lilu, Boaz, Raphael, Phoebe and Oliver), brothers Doug and Bob, sisters Wendy and Tracey, and many nieces and nephews, as well as his canine companion Oz.
Those in the Sault Ste Marie community will remember Terry for his many years owning and operating Midas on Great Northern Rd., his constant presence on the golf course, and his years chauffeuring his daughters and their friends around town. In his retirement, he continued that tradition, driving school transportation vans for ADSB. His signature quip of ‘I’ll slow down, you jump out’ will be fondly remembered.
A celebration of his life will be held this week in Sudbury. For those lucky enough to know and miss him, please tell a dad joke today in his honour. Memorial contributions (payable by cheque or online) to Sick Kids Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
