Passed peacefully at Extendicare Van Daele, Sault Ste Marie, on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at the age of 85.
Beloved wife of Raymond. Loving mother of Terry Pallot (José), Rayanne Headrick, and Julie Pallot (Mike). Proud loving Grandma of Madison and Shane. Predeceased by her parents Fred and Irja Zimmerman. Dear sister of the late Fred Zimmerman and sister-in-law of the late Lawrence (Pauline), late Carolyn Ambeault (Larry), late William "Bill" (Ilona), and the late Leona Olar (late Charlie).
Nola was a nurse at the Plummer Memorial Hospital, where she later on played an important part in training student nurses. While she was raising her children, she also dedicated her time at Mountain View Public School where she shared her knowledge and caring. Later in life, she continued to share her caring ways working at Pathways Retirement Residence.
Nola enjoyed her flower gardens, was a hobbiest bird watcher, made loving family meals, supported her children in all endeavors, and created many precious memories with her grandchildren. She also had a creative, artistic side that came out in knitting, crocheting, and craftwork.
Friends and family are invited to Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E 705-759-2522) on Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm, followed by a memorial service at 7 pm. Mrs. Helen Smith officiating. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations (payable by cheque or online) to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
