We are saddened to announce the unexpected passing of Katarina ‘Kathy’ Pandzic at home in Scarborough, ON, on January 27, 2022. Loving daughter of the late Jakob and Anna Pandzic. Sister of Jerry (Maralyn) and Anthony (Sally). Special aunt to Tony, Kyle, Michael (Mandy), Daniel, Angela (Collin) and Steven, and Great aunt of Kaydan, Sawyer, Maddison, Mackenzie, and Amylia.
Kathy grew up in Sault Ste. Marie where she regularly attended Precious Blood Cathedral, and worked as a chef in her parent’s restaurant, Blue Water Inn, for numerous years. She moved to Toronto to attend college and then worked with children as a dedicated and caring supervisor of various daycares in the Toronto and Scarborough area. During COVID, Kathy volunteered, being the kind and giving person she was, to be placed in Shelters, an experience she truly enjoyed and where her kindness was well received and appreciated. She will be greatly missed by friends and family from both Sault Ste. Marie and Scarborough.
A private family visitation will be held at O’Sullivan Funeral Home followed by interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery beside her mom and dad. There will be a Mass at Precious Blood Cathedral with Father Chad Franklin officiating, date to be determined.
