It is with great sadness in our hearts, we announce on Thursday, July 23, 2020, at the age of 81 and after 20+ years of being away from the love of his life, our father has gone to be reunited with our mother Lise Paquette (nee Duplin).

Many knew dad as "Joe" and everyone knew he had a passion for logging in the bush.  He will live on forever in our memories as a kind, funny, generous and loving father to Guy, Sylvie, Danielle (Freeman), Marcel and Chantal (Ken).  Fondly remembered by his 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.  He certainly will also be missed by his surviving brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and friends.  If anyone knew our dad, they would agree his playful nature always made people laugh.  How can we forget his warped sense of humour that continued into his final days.  His laughter and gracious smile will never be forgotten.  God sure gained another beautiful and caring angel.  In spite of our loss, we will always hold our parents in our hearts.  We have comforting thoughts and treasured memories knowing that Mom and Dad are together again.

At our father's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service.  A private family gathering will be held at a later date.  Arrangements entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E. 705-759-2522).  Those wishing to make a donation in his honour are asked to donate to ARCH (payable by cheque or online).  Special thanks to Dr. Sharon Beuhner, the wonderful compassionate home care nurses, and others that helped with the care and support of our loving father.
