Began his journey home to be with his mother on August 20, 2024. 

Barry was born on September 9, 1969, along with his twin sister Carrie. Barry is survived by his father Fred Pine, his siblings; Carrie, Lee, Cher, Debbie, and Bernie, his nieces and nephews; Spencer, Samantha, Michaela (Matthew), Brianna (Dalton), Owen, and Jenna, his great nieces and nephews; Olivia, Richard, Blake, Brooke, and Lincoln, a large extended family from Birch Island (including Uncle Muzz (Aunt Jean) and Aunt Beatrice), and close friend Richard. He is predeceased by his mother Louise Pine, Aunt Arlie, maternal grandparent’s Bill and Anne Migwanabe, his paternal grandparent’s Samuel and Clara Pine, Aunt Irene, Uncle Wesley, Uncle Hank, Uncle George, Uncle Ed, Aunt Pauline, and Uncle Jim.

Barry was a proud member of Garden River First Nation who was raised on the Echo River alongside his siblings. He graduated in 1987 from the Central Algoma Secondary School and from Sault College in 1992. He enjoyed reading comic books, playing video games, watching MMA, and spending time outdoors.

Family and friends are welcome to join the family for a time of visitation on Saturday August 24, 2024 from 2 pm - 4 pm at the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton and Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E., 705-759-2522). Reception to be held at the Garden River Community Centre (7 Shingwauk Street, Garden River) from 4:30 pm - 7 pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Sault Soup Kitchen, the Garden River Food Pantry, or the Salvation Army in his memory.
