PIROMALLI, Frank BIO merged

Passed away peacefully in Dearborn, Michigan, on June 19, 2021 at the age of 96.  Loving father of Mary Ann Krengel (Phil) and Nancy Koenig (Carl).  Devoted Grandfather of six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.  Beloved brother of Susan Greely (late Bob), Gloria and John Piromalli (Carmel).  Pre-deceased by his siblings Carmela Sadrawetz (late George), Patsy (late Helen),
Sam (Ellaine), and Jim (Eva).  Also survived by his nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family too numerous to mention.

Frankie was born in Detroit, Michigan, and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. He was drafted
by the U.S.A. during the Second World War and served in the Army Air Corps as a radio operator on the B-17 bomber.  After a stint on that aircraft he was hand selected to train and serve on the B-29 superfortress - the largest plane the U.S. fielded during the Second World War.

Frank returned to Sault Ste. Marie after the war where he married Edith (Quesnelle) and started a
Family. He later moved his family to Dearborn, Michigan, where he worked in a branch of the Ford factory for many years. He became a local union rep and was eventually elected president of that local where he served until his retirement.  Frankie was our "genius" - extremely intelligent, well read, and could converse at length on any subject. He spoke three languages and was an accomplished musician who could play several instruments, some of them self-taught.  Frankie is now re-united with the love of his life and favorite dance and travel partner, Edith, and all of their many friends and relatives who have passed before him. He will be forever loved and missed.  A Memorial Celebration of Frank's life will be held at a later date in Dearborn, Michigan.
