PORTER, Carmel (nee Pettalia)

Passed away peacefully, with her family by her side
on Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at the Sault Area Hospital. Beloved wife for 56
years of Joe Porter. Dearly loved mother of Alf (Wendy), Tom (Marcy) of Windsor and
Sue (Perry Laidlaw) of Windsor. Cherished Nana of Mandi Brandt (Jamie), Lori
Lariviere (John), Jodi Barck and Julie Porter, Brian Porter, Erin Porter (Reg
Mollicone), David and Mark Porter and Lou Naccarato (Tanya), Peter Naccarato, Jason
Laidlaw (Ashley) Sheena and Chelsea Laidlaw. Great grandmother of Jennifer
Naccarato and Logan Lariviere. Beloved sister of Rose Dyni (late John), Mary
Figliomeni of Toronto, Ann Bednarz (late Ed), Julie Barlow (late Dave) of Kitchener,
Peter Pettalia (Mary). Predeceased by her brothers Sosto (Marie), Sam (late Rose),
Frank (Liz) and Joe (late Bea). Sister-in-law to Les Porter (Cathy) and Lois
Tremblay. Carmel will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on
Friday evening from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Joseph the Worker Church
on Saturday, September 24, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Ron Ambeault
officiating. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial donations made to the
Sault Area Hospital Renal Dialysis Unit would be appreciated by the family. A
heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Renal Dialysis Unit of
the Sault Area Hospital.
